1. What are the entry requirements?

  A U.S. Passport, A Ghanaian Visa, and a Yellowfever Card.

2. How long is the flight?

  The flight is less than 12 hours; 8hrs to Gambia to refuel, then 2 to Accra.

3. What are the medical Requirements?

  1 shot for yellow fever and anti-malaria treatment is strongly recommended. Please consult your local health department for detailed information on optional shots.

4. What is the climate like?

  Ghana is favored by a tropical, humid climate that is both warm and dry. The average daily temperature will be about 88 degrees.

5. Is it safe to drink the water?

  Bottled water is strongly recommended at all times even though most hotels have filtered water

6. What is the currency and how do I exchange money?

  Your tour guide will happily assist you with exchanging currency and the exchange rate is approximately $1 US Dollar = $7000 Cede's. It will be best for you to have $20's, 50's or $100's to get the best exchange rate... you do get slightly less exchange for travelers checks, and it is best to carry $1's for tipping luggage handlers etc.

7. What language is spoken in Ghana.

  The official language is English, but some ethnic groups speak their own native languages

8. What should I pack?

  Two words... Travel light. Light Clothes, washable cotton and linen outfits, T-shirts. Do not forget sunblock, insect repellent and sunglasses. Bring confortable shoes for walking but pack light so you will be able to move easily from one hotel to another

9. What is the food like?

  Spicy, tasty and plentiful. A lot of local vegetables, chicken and fish is served. Get your tast buds ready for an adventure.
